While at Clockwork Monkey Studios I worked as a UI Artist on Profit or Perish, a game developed by Unit 2 Games for Meta Horizon. We were tasked with creating a fun, simple UI with a retro-supermarket vibe that used skeuomorphic, creepy and sinister elements. We had to create something that was simultaneously fun and unnerving, without leaning too far in either direction. The UI would need two sets, one for Good Employees and one for Troublemakers, and needed to be suitable for both VR and Mobile.
I was involved in creating and establishing the art style that was to be used across the game, creating different options that the client could use to direct us toward the final style. I explored initial ideas with quick sketches of widgets and small UI elements. I also created high-fidelity art target concepts for key screens in the games UI, along with a series of icons and some small illustrations.
